RESOLUTION NO. ~ - (g, ~
A RESOLUTION providing for the creation ot a special
fund to control the accounting covering
the payment of the acquisition and
installation of sundry office equipment;
authorizing a borrowing to secure funds
the~tor and fixing a method for re-
payment.
WHEREAS, heretotore it has been d....d advisable that
Jefferson County make sundry capital improvements to Court.
house office equipment and offices, and
WHEREAS, the present financial condition of the Current
Expense Fund precludes the making thereof without borrow-
lng, and
WHEREAS, ROW 36.~O.l20 permits borrowing when used
for a specific purpo8e which in this instance shall be the
cost of acquiring and installing such equipment and the
adoption of office space in order to comply, and that the
net amount needed for the purpose is the sum of ..aI~.~.

It is hereby found a nd declared' that the public w.l....
fare, convenience and the unlnterMlpted operation of' the
public service requires this Board of County Commissioners
proceed in manner and torm as herein determined, and that
the sum of $ ~ J/~4. fiiL- be borrowed from the County
Road Fund, t he same to . be repaid in three equal annual
installments, together with interest at the rate of three
(3) per cent per annum, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that in order to accomplish the object-
ives aforesaid and to comply, as near as may be with statu-
tory law and with the rules and regulations as promulgated
by the Division of Municipal Corporations of the offioe of
the State Auditor, the Treasurer of Jefferson County, be
and he is hereby authorized and empowered to create a fund
in his offiee to be known as the "OOURTHOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY
FUND" and to forthwith transfer from the County Road Fund
into the fund hereby created the said sum of $~t
And
Be it further RESOLVED. and this Board ot County Com-
missioners irrevocably binds the Current Expense Fund of
Jefferson County to th~ prompt re-payment of said borrow-
ing, this is to SAY, - to cause to be extended on the tax
rolls of Jefferson County for collection during the years
1969, 1970 and 1971, a tax levy 1n an unlimited amount pay-
able tor the use and benefit of said COURTHOUSE CAPITAL
OUTLAY FUND so as to amortize said loan of $~t
and interest, as fQllo~s:
One-third thereof to be paid ~n or before April 15,
1969, together with interest at th~ rate of )~ per annum
from date of transfer from the County Road Fund until paid;
One-third thereof to be paid on or before April 15,
1970, together with interest on the remaining unpaid
balance from April 15~ 1969, until paid;
One-third to be paid On or before April 15, 1971, to-
gether with interest on the remaining unpaid balance
from April 15, 1970,
PROVIDED HOWEVER, that nothing shall prevent th.
sooner liquidation of said loan if financially teasibl.,
and
Be it further RESOLVED that t he County Aud1 tor ot
Jefterson County be and she is hereby authorized to draw
warrants on said COURTHOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY FUND, not exceed-
ing said sum of $~~.8a . upon the presentation of
properly approved vouchers. '0
