WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County, State
of Washington, that the amount of money, to-wit: the sum
of $10,000.00, appropriated by Resolution No. /7- " adopted
by this Board on 9~ ? i!! , 1968, and
approved as an emergency by order dated ~
1965, and from which order no tax payerthas sought review

in the Superior Court of the State of Washington for Jef-
ferson County, is insufficient to carry the costs of labor
and material for the preservation and repair of the Walker
Street side of the Jefferson County Courthouse, and
WHEREAS it now appears that the sum of $ 9; ./J~.s:~,~
is a sum sufficient to meet the entire cost of such preser-
vation and repair, and
WHEREAS it further appears that an emergency continues
to exist requiring the 'expenditure of additional funds for
the purpose, which could not have b~~n reasonably foreseen
by this Board of County Commissioners at the time of the
making of its budget forthe Current Expense Fund for the
'ear 1965, nor could it have been reasonably foreseen at
the time of adoption of Resolution No. 17- '4 aforesaid,
Now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the aforementioned
facts constitute an emergency and the estimated amount of
funds to meet such emergency is $ q/ -5""-'lS: ~ ~ and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of a ,public hear-
ing upon such expenditure of $ ~ r~ s: ~ .,; shall be given,

forenoon of said day in the Commissioners' Room in
Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
