RESOLUTION NO. a~1/I
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson
County has been informally advised of the passage of HJR 13
and the consequent Constitutional Amendment providing for
salary increases for certain county officers which will
become effective December 1, 1968, but in no case later
than December 5, 1968, and
WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency now exists
requiring the expenditure of funds during calendar 1968
to provide for such salary increases, the obligation of
the Current Expense Fund of this county, as follows:

Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, and the County Auditor be,
and she is hereby authorized and empowered to draw emer-
gency warrants'upon the Current Expense Fund of this
county, chargeable to each of the respective county
offices involved, in amounts not exceeding the total
represented in the foregoing FROVIDED, H9WEiE., that
should the effective date of said Constitutional Amend-
ment be later than December 1, 1968, the, amounts herein
appropriated shall be duly proportioned dOWbw~rd and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and hereby is
appropriated for expenditure during calendar 1969 so as
to provide for the emergency, thus created, further and
additional monies and furi'ctsas to1J~OW's:

and empowered to ,amend the budget of the Current Expense
Fund of this county for calendar 1969, and in each appro-
priate office to provide for the salary increases resulting
from the Constitutional Amendment and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the subject matter hereof
being one of tenor and effect a nondebatable emergency,
this resolution shall be in foree and effect from the date
of its adoption without further notice or hearing.
