HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975 .....'.J ORDER This matter corning on to be heard this day, and it appearing that notice hereof has been given for the time, and in the manner provided by law, and no objection or objection interposed, the Board finds that the facts set forth in Resolution No. 16-75 constitute an emergency, and that the proposed transfer and expenditure should be authorized, it is ORDERED, and the Treasurer be and she is hereby authorized and empowered to transfer from the County Park Reserve Fund to the Current Expense Fund under County Parks the sum of $12,753.87, and it is further ORDERED, and the County Auditor be, and she is hereby empowered to draw warrants against the following fund, not exceeding the gross amounts so appropriated to wit: Current Expense Fund County Parks Kvinsland Construction $8,467.20 unless a review is applied for within five days from date hereof. RESOLUTION NO. ~~p~ / - , WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, Washington, that fairness demands that the cost of living increase be recognized and -met equally throughout for county employees; that a five per cent wage' and salary' increase be granted them retroactive to July 1, 1975, a~d~that cer~ain funds should be expended for the foregoing purpose; and WHEREAS, expenditure of such funds was not inclqd~~,in'the 1975 budget of said county; and WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists and that the necessity for the expenditure of such funds could not have been reasonably foreseen by said Board at the time of final adoption of said budget.; and ~J i WHEREAS, this is a stated meeting date of said Board with all members present, therefore v ... BE IT RESOLVED that the foregoing facts constitute an emergency and that the estimated amount of funds to meet such emer- gency is $22,340.53 chargeable to budgetary items as follows: County Road F'und Current Expense Fund Solid Waste Elections $11,324.82 $ 9,945.02 $ 988.16 $ 82.53 and payable to all county employees (except administrators and office heads) receiving compensation under the foregoing budgetary classi- fications, and ~".. .-~~ . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of a public hearing upon such expenditures shall be given, said hearing to be held on Monday, the 4th day of August, 1975, at the hour of ten o'clock, in the fore- noon of said day, in the Commissioners Chamber in the Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington.
