WHEREAS" it appears to the Board of County C01IID.issioners for Jefferson
, County that, as a pan of its road d.evelopement and expansion program that a
gravel pit be aeql1ired,and in the finE,mcial interest of all tax payers of
Jefferson County, it further appears that instead of making purchase of those
needed lands and premises, or by proceeding in condemnation,' that the pro.
visions of Chapter h, Laws of Washington, 1963, as amended by Chapter 21 of
Laws ofWashingt.on, 1965, be invok.d~ and in accordance therewith, the Board
finds:
(1) That Crown Zellerbach Corporatio*) a Nevada Corporation, i. the

Beginning at the southeast corner of the SWtof the swt of See. 32,
T. 28 N., R. 1 E.~ w.M.; thence N 10481 E along the east boundary of
said SIll of the .sWi of See. 32 a distance of four hundred sixty-five
nand no tenths (h65.0) _et; thence N 89'-ho* W a distance of four
hundred sixtiy-five and *' tenths O~65~o) feet; thence S 10481 W a
distance of four hundred sixty-five and no tenths (465.0) feet to
the south boundary of said section 32; thence S 89.40' E along the
south boundary of said section 32 a distance of four hundred sixtl-

lands nned by' Crown Zellerbach Corporation.
(2) That Jefferson County has acquired by tax foreclosure the follow-
ing described real estate, to-wit:
An undivided t interest in the east i of the swt of the swt of See. 17,
T. 30 N., 1l. 1 W., W.M., less existing railroad right of way.
WHEREAS, this Board of County Commissioners has found and determined
that the value of the county real property and of the privately owned real
property is af approx:t.mately equal value, and
WHEREAS, this B08rdhas been further informed and advised that the said
Crown Zellerbach Corporation is willing. te convey to Jefferson County its
privately owned real property in exchan:ge for the county owned real property,
therefore

That the Proseeu.ting Attorney for Jefferson County be and he is hereby
authorized and em.ptRfered to t.ake suh steps through the medium of the
Superior Court of the State of Washington for Jefferson County to the end
that the intent and purpose of thi8 resolution be earried out and the proposed
. exehange of lande effected.
