RESOLUTION NO. D- :J- 0
Petitions purporting to be signed by at least ten per
cent (10%) of the registered voters of Jefferson County,
outside the area of the City of Port Townsend, asking that
the question, "Shall a rural county library district be es-
tablished?" be submitted to a vote of the people, having
been received and filed with the Board of County Commissioners
for Jefferson County, and
WHEREAS, said Board having subsequently determined
that the petitions were signed by the requisite number of
qualified petitioners, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED and there is hereby found and declared
that an emergency exists requiring submission to the qualified
voters of Jefferson County, outside the area of the City of
Port Townsend, at a special election, of the proposition as
to whether or not such a district should be established, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Jefferson County Auditor,
as ex-officio Supervisor of Elections for Jefferson County
is hereby requested to also find the existence of such emer-
gency and to call and conduct such special election and to
submit to the qualified electors in all of Jefferson County,
outside of the area of the City of Port Townsend, the follow-
ing proposition:
