In the Matter of the Proposed
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE
FOR HEARING ON PETITION
FOR INCORPORATION
Incorporation of the
TOWN OF HADLOCK
wHEREAS, a petition has been transmitted by the County
Auditor of Jefferson County, Washington, to the Board of
County Commissioners of said county, requesting that the
territory hereinafter described, to-wit:
Beginning at the corner common to Sections 1, 2, 11
and 12, Township 29 North, Range 1 West, W. M.,
Jefferson County, Washington; thence west along the
section line between Sections 2 and 11 to the west
line of the Morrissey Addition; thence north along
the west line of said Morrissey Addition to the north-
west corner of the said Morrissey Addition; thence
northerly in a straight line to an intersection with
the northeasterly right of way of the junction of
County Road No. 4 and County Road No. 18-16.32; thence
northerly along the east right of way of County Road
No. 18-16.32 to an intersection with the south right
of way of First Street as shown on the Plat of the
South Port Townsend Subdivision; thence west to the
southeast corner of Cedar Street right of way as shown
on the Plat of the Phillips Addition Subdivision, thence
northerly along the east right of way of Cedar Street
to an intersection with the south right of way of
Fitchburg Avenue; thence easterly along the south right
of way of Fitchburg Avenue to the southeasterly right
of way of the junction of Fitchburg Avenue and E Street;
thence northerly on an extension of the east right of
way of Maple Street, along said right of way to an in-
tersection with the southeasterly right of way of the
junction of Maple Street and Montgomery Street as shown
on the Plat of the Harrisburg Supplement; thence easterly
along the south right of way of Montgomery Street to the
High High Water line; thence southeasterly along the
High High Water line to an intersection with the north
right of way of Vfuarf Street; thence southwesterly along
the north right of way of \Vharf Street to an intersec-
tion with the section line between said sections 1 and
2; thenc~ southerly along said section line to the point
of beginning;
be incorporated as a Fourth Class Town under the Mayor-Council

form of government to be known as the TOWN of HADLOCK and

A therein is 336, as nearly as may be, and simultaneously
with such transmittal the County Auditor has affixed her
certificate setting forth that
(a) the legal description of the proposed town area is
correct;

(b) the number of valid signatures to the petition is
sufficient,
now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED and NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
That a public hearing upon said petition for incorpora-
tion will be held in the Commissioners' Room of the Jefferson

I Th upon the final hearing on said petition for incor-
poration the Board shall establish and define the boundaries

of the proposed town, being authorized to decrease but not
increase the area proposed in the petition, providing any
such decrease shall not exceed twenty per cent of the area
proposed, and lastly determine the number of inhabitants

within the boundaries so established.
