WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners
for Jefferson County that, as a part of its road development
and expansion program that a rock quarry and protective area
be acquired, and in the financial interest of all tax payers
of Jefferson County, it further appears that instead of making
purchase of thooeneeded lands and premises, or by proceeding
in condemnation, that the provisions of Chapter 4, Laws of
Washington, 1963, as amended by Chapter 21 of the Laws of
Washington, 1965, be invoked, and in accordance therewith,
the Board finds:
(I) That one Berenice Martin is the owner of the fol-
lowing described real estate in Jefferson County Washington:
The north one-half of the northeast quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 27 North,
Range 2 West, W. M. lying north of county road, LESS
Tax No.2, and
That portion of the northeast quarter of the southeast
quarter of Section 22, Township 27 North, Range 2
West, W. M. lying between the county road and state
highway northerly of highway station 3g + 00.
(2) That Jefferson County has acquired by tax fore-
closure the following described real estate, to-wit:
The northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 27 North,
Range 2r,'/est, W. M. and
WHEREAS, this Board of County Commissioners has found
and determined that the value of the county real property
and of the privately owned real property is of approximately
equal value, the value of t he county property being slig htly
less than that of the privately owned real property, and
WHEREAS, this Board has been further informed and ad-
vised that the said Berenice Martin is willing to convey

1 to Jefferson County her privately owned real property in
2 exchange for the county owned real property, therefore
3 BE IT RESOLVED
4 That the Prosecuti~g Attorney for Jefferson County be
5 and he is hereby authorized and empowered to take such steps
6 through the medium of the Superior Court of the State of
7 Washington for Jefferson County to the end that the intent
8 and purpose of this resolution be carried out and the proposed

exchange of lands effected.
