RESOLUTION NO. c "t ~ 0
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Gounty Commissioners
of Jefferson County, Washington, retaining
counsel for certain services in connection
with the authorization, issuance and sale of
unlimited tax levy general obligation bonds
of the County in the principal amount of
$35,000.
WHEREAS, on August 22, 1966, this Board adopted
its Resolution No. C-652, retaAning Preston, Thorgrimson, Horowitz,
Starin & Ellis, bond counsel of Seattle, WaShington, to draw all
the proceedings necessary for the authorization, issuance and
sale of $35,000 principal amount of unlimited tax levy general
obligation bonds of the County and to give their opinion as to
the validity of such bonds at the time of their sale; and
WHEREAS, said resolution fixed the fee of said
bond counsel at the sum of $400.00 for such services and further
provided that said counsel would be paid the sum of $100.00
only in the event the qualified electors of the County failed
to approve the issuance of the said bonds; and
WHEREAS, 4t the special election held on such bond
proposition on September 20, 1966 said bond proposition did fail
to carry and this Board has decided that the same should be
resubmitted to such voters at the general County and State
election to be held on November 8, 1966;
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable that
the said bondoounsel be again retained to perform the same ser-
vices in the matter of issuance of such bonds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
County Commissioners of Jefferson County, WaShington, as follows:
That Preston, Thorgrimson, Horowitz, Starin & Ellis,
attorneys at law of Seattle, WaShington, be and they are hereby

retained to perform the services above set forth and as compensa-
tion therefore Jefferson County agrees to pay them the sum of
$400.00. In addition thereto the County agrees to reimburse said
counsel for any out-of-pocket expenses such as long distamce
telephone tolls which they may incur in the performance of said
services and also agrees to furnish said counsel at their office
,
in Seattle, Washington with a complete certified transcript of
all proceedings taken in the matter of issuance of said bonds.
In the event the proposition authorizing the
issuance of said bonds fails to carry, the County agrees to pay
said counsel the sum of $100.00 which shall be compensation in full
for the services rendered by them to the County to the date of
both the September 20, 1966 and November 8, 1966 elections (plus
any out-of-pocket expenses which may have been inucrred by said
bond counsel to said. election date.).
PASSED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof held
