WHEREAS, the demands upon the office of the Prosecut-
ing Attorney for Jefferson County for the prosecution of
non-support of minor children cases in the criminal courts,
and the responsibilities and attention required under the
Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement Act have become more and more
onerous, and can only be properly attended to by constant
supervision, and the maintenance of a strict "tickler"
system, and to sustain the high standard of service hereto-
fore offered by Jefferson County to the public in all of

its departments, elected or appointed, it appears necessary
in order to accomplish the objective that further and addi-
tional duties, consonant herewith, be imposed upon the
present Secretary for the Prosecuting Attorney, so that
she become in truth and in fact a Domestic Relations Proctor,
and that she be paid an additional sum monthly commensurate
with the new responsibilities and obligations, now therefore,

BE IT RESO~VED and an emergency is hereby found and
declared to exist requiring the appropriation of money
during the calendar year 1964 for the purposes aforesaid,
to-wit:

and the necessity therefor could not, with reasonable
certainty, have been foreseen at the time of the adoption
of the official budget for t he Current Expense Fund for
the year 1964, and the same being one to meet mandatory
expenditures required by law and the efficient operation
G of county government, this resolution shall become effective

February 15, 1964, and the County Auditor be and she is
hereby authorized and empowered to draw emergency warrants
upon the Current Expense Fund of this county in amounts
not exceeding the foregoing appropriation.
ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 1964.
