RESOLUTION NO. C - v
A RESOLUTION of the Board of County Commissioners
of Jefferson County, Washington, retaining
counsel for certain services in connection with
the authorization, issuance and sale of un-
limited tax levy general obligation bonds of
the County in the principal amount of $40,000.
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable that Jefferson
County install an elevator in the County Courthouse located in Port
Townsend, Washington, and to provide funds to pay the cost thereof,
issue and sell its unlimited tax levy general obligation bonds in
the principal sum of $40,000; and
WHEREAS, the Constitution and statutes of the State of
Washington require that the question of whether or not such bonds
may be issued for such purpose must be approved by the ~alified
electors of the County; and
WHEREAS, it is further deemed necessary and advisable that
bond counsel experienced in such matters be retained to draw the
resolutions, notices and other documents necessary for the au-
thorization, issuance and sale of said bonds and to give their
opinion as to the validity thereof at the time of their sale;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, as follows:
That Preston, Thorgrimson, Horowitz, Starin & Ellis,
attorneys at law of Seattle, Washington, be and they are hereby
retained to perform the services above set forth, and as compensation
therefor Jefferson County agrees to pay them the swn of Four Hundred
Dollars. In addition thereto the County agrees to reimburse said
counsel for any out-of-pocket expenses, such as long distance tele-
phone tolls, which they may incur in the performance of said
services; and the County also agrees to furnish said counsel at

transcript of all proceedings taken in the matter of the issuance
of said bonds. In the event the proposition authorizing the is-
suance of said bonds for such purpose fails to carryl the County
agrees to pay said counsel the sum of One Hundred Dollarsl which
shall be compensation in full for all services rendered to the date
of such election (plus any out-of-pocket expenses which may have
been incurred by said counsel to said election date).
