C-iS9'3 WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners" that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the county road system (1) all that portion of the Old Stutler Hill Road through the Wi of the NEt of Sec. 26, T. 28 N., R. 2 W., W.M. which was replaced by the conStruction of the new Stutler Hill road (Lords Lake Road, County Road No. 30) under CoR.Po No. 108" approved June 2nd, 1952, (2) all that portion of the Nordland Cemetery Road (Co. Rd. No. 4-6.83) lying between the Nordland Road (Co. Rd. No.4) and the East Marrowstone Road (Co. Rd. No. 2-2.29), (3) all that portion of the old Ch:iJnacum-Quilcene Road,. established Feb. 4, 1891, described as follows: Beginning at the couth end of the McMillen road (Co. Rd. No. 18-9.80), 0.34 mile south of its northerly j1)nction with Coo R~. No. 18; thence southerly to the e:x:i.sting right of way line of County Road No. 18 in the SE! of the S~ of Sec. 9, T. 28 N." R. 1 W., W.JA..., (4) all those portions of the old .Discovery Road J.ying outside of the ri~t of way of the present location of County Road No. 38" from the railroad bridge in the NEi of the S~ of Sec. 17, T. 30 N., R. I W., WoM. southerly to the south line of the ~ of the NWt of Sec. 29, T. 30 No, R. 1 W.,,~ W.M., (5) that portion of the Old Townsend - Chimacum road, established Aug. 5, 1889" from. the south line of Lawrence Ave. at Elizabeth St. in Phillips B~ View Addition southeasterly to the westerly right of. wB\Y line of State Highway No. 113; excepting therefrom. any platted streets in said Phillips Bay View Addition, (6) All that portion of the Chimacum Creek RoaEl (Co~ _ Rd. No. 12-1..54) lying within the west i of Sec. 34, T. 30 N., R. 1 W., W.M., (7) All of Co. Rd. No. 22-2.70 sometimes known as the Jacobsen Road or the Gorham Bishop Road from the Chimacum. West Valley road to its western termini, including the southerly branch of said road approved June 5th, 1907 as the L. H. Maas Road, (8) That portion of the old Swansonville Road (Co. Rd. No. 90)" replaced by County Road Project No. 105 approved April, 1952, bet\oTeen station 55+00 near the Swansonvi11e Church and station 85+00 in the SE~ of the swl of Sec. 5, T. 28 N.,R. 1 E., W.M." (9) all mose portions of former loca- tions of the Chimacum. - Quilcene Road in the NW~ of the ~ of Sec. 3" T. 28 N., R. 1 VI., W.M. outside of the right of way of the present locations of Co. Rd. No. 18 and State Highway No. 104, (10) all that portion of the old location of County Road No. 90 known variously as the Bishop, Bengston or Egg & I roaa and. originally estab- lished Nov. 6, 1886" as part of the Port Ludlow - Port Discovery Road; lying outside of the right of way of the present road. constructed under C.R.P. No. 116" approved June 1, 1953, and C.R.P. No. 140 approved August 10" 1956; from Co. Rei. No. 18 on the west to Co. Rd. No. 12 on the east, (11) All that portion of County Road No. 76" being a part of the former location of the O:qmpic Highway across the Quilcene River, from a point 200 feet south of the south line of Sec. 22, T. 27 N., R. 2 W., WoM.; thence southeasterly to the westerly right of way line of St'lte Highway 101, and in contemplation of the language of the statute, R.C.V. .36.87.010, the same are useless, now therefore, being .. BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of. County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and aban(ion said ~ads, and be it" FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Engineer is hereby directed to examine said roads and report his opirrl.on as to whether these county roads should be vacated and abandoned; whether either is in use or has been in use; the conditions thereof, and whether it will be advisea\J1e to preserve said roads for the county road system in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment I apd all other facts, matters and things which will be of impDrtance to the Board and that such report. to be filed as soon as practicable.
