The City of Port Townsend having filed an application
in writing for the leasing of the following described county
lands,
The east 660 feet of the southeast quarter of the
southwest qUarter and the west 330 feet of the
southwest quarter of the southeast quarter, all
in section 8, township 30 north, range 1 west
W. M.,
for municipal purposes, to~w1t: the operation of a place
for the disposal of refuse, rubbish and garbage, the same
to be conducted in the nature of a sanitary fill, and
WHEREAS, the subject matter thereof having been under
oonsideration by this Board of Coun~y Commissioners for a
considerable period of time last past, this Board does now
find and determine that it is for the best interests of the
county and the people thereof, and desirable, that a lease
of the land applied for be entered into with said City for
a period of years upon terms and conditions to be later fixed,
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners for
Jefferson County, and said Board, does now and hereby declare
its intention to make such a lease, and that the County
Auditor give notice of such intention by posting and publish-
ing for the time and in the manner provided by law, the
return day whereof to be the 5th day of February, 1962, at
the hour of 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon of said day, and
the place whereat objections may be made to be the Commis-
sioners' Room in the Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Town-
send, Washington, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of section 36.34.-
150, RCW, be and the same are hereby waived.
ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 1962.
