RESOLUTION NO. C-L6ti.
WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the 3tate of \!lashington, -3.cting as
,Agent of and for the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the
United States of America, is desirous of constructing a Federal Aid Project_, No.
5-0322(4) in Jefferson, County, over and across

WHEREAS, the Department of Highwayeaf the State of Wash1ngton,actiIli ae
Agent for the United States Bureau of Public Roads, is deeiroueof receiving Fed-
eral funda for the improvement of said road, and
V!HEREAS, the said Bureau of Public Roads of the tepartment of Canmerce of
the United States of America will not participate in the construction of said road
until and unless the County of Jefferson will agree to refrain from permitt,q
encroachment upon the rM-ht of way of said above-mentioned road, and until and un-
less the County of Je erson will agree to retrain from passing resolut10118
affecting the .free flow of traf'fic on said above-mentioned road or that will give
preference to local routes '''hich intersect with said road, other than by the erec-
tion or installation of Ils10w" and/or "caution'! sie;ns or signals, or that will un-
reasonably hinder or delay traffic on said above-mentioned road, and until and un-
less the County of Jefferson will agree, by suitable resolution, to adopt the
grades of the improvement as the grades of the county road that is involved, and
agree to protect the 3tate of Washington against any and all claims for damages on
account of any chan6es of grades and the constructio~ of this improvement, and un-
til and unless the County of Jefferson will agree to maintain said improve-
ment within the limits of the County of Jefferson after the improvement has
been completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVBD by the Board of County COIIIIIissioners of Jeffe~son
County that for and in consideration of the Department of Highways of the
state of Washington and the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of
the United States of America constructinJ said roaj and routing traffic on same
