RESOLUTION NO. C-484
A RESOLUTION of the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County,
Washington, distributing and allocating Federal Forest
Reserve monies received by Jefferson County in the calendar
year 1961.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Treasurer is in receipt of the
sum of $465,833.73 from the State Auditor of the State of Washington,
representing this county's distributive sh~re of Federal Forest Reserve
revenues apportioned by the U. S. Department of Agri cuI ture during the
calendar year, 1961, and pursuant to the statute of the State of Washington
in such cases made and provided, it is now the duty of this Board of County
Commissioners to make proper disposition thereof, and,
WHEREAS, this Board of County Commissioners has given careful
consideration to the needs of the county road system, and to the needs of
the several school districts of Jefferson County and their necessary admini-
strative requirements, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does
hereby order, allocate, distribute and apportion said sum of $465,833.73
as follows:
(a) To the COUNTY ROAD FUND for the maintenance and construction
of county roads during the year 1962, the sum of $232,916.87;
(b) To the COUNTY CURRENT EXPENSE FUND for the exclusive use
of the Superintendent of Schools during the year 1962, the sum of $6,212.00
for t~e reason and upon the ground that the said County Superintendent of
Schools is not a county constitutional officer and the duties and operation
of said office is one devoted entirely toward the benefit of the public
schools, and said sum of $6,212.00 is a sum sufficient to exclusively
operate the same in 1962;
(c) To School District No. 20 (Queets-Clearwater) the sum of
$5,000.00 for disbursement in such manner as the Directors of that school
may direct;
(d) To School District No. 46 (Brinnon) the sum of $5,000.00
for disbursement in such manner as the Directors of that school district
may direct;
(e) To School Districts of the County, the sum of $216,704.86,
the same to be apportioned according to attendance in said Districts by the
County Superintendent of Schools according to law, as follows: School District
No. 20 (Queets-Clearwater) the sum of $5,223.06; School District No. 46
(Brinnon), the sum of $5,192.84; School District No. 48 (Quilcene), the sum
of $25,653.61; School District No. 49 (Chimacum) the sum of $42,424.22;

School District No. 402 (Quil1ayute) the sum of $5,385.79.
ADOPTED this 4th day of December, 1961.
