?r+HEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of ''ashington, acting as
Agent of and for the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the
United States of America, is desirous of constructing a Federal Aid Project_, No.

':!MEREAS, the Department of Highi ^nys of the State of Washington, acting as
Agent for the United States Bureau of Public Roads, is desirous of receiving Fed-
eral funds for the improvement of said road, and
111HEREAS, the said Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of
the United States of America will not participate in the construction of said road
until and unless the County of J;. =ff '. ' 0n will agree to refrain from permitting
encroachment upon the rigght of ti+ray of said above- mentioned road, and until and un-
less the County of i�t'.#'CMon will agree to refrain from passing resolutions
affecting the free flow of traffic on said above - mentioned road or that will give
preference to local routes which intersect with said road, other than by the erec-
tion or installation of "slow" and /or "cautions? signs or signals, or that will un-
reasonably hinder or delay traffic on said above - mentioned road, and until and un-
less the County of 40fNT`5 will agree, by suitable resolution, to adopt the
grades of the improvement as the grades of the county road that is involved, and
agree to protect the State of 'Alashington against any and all claims for damages on
account of any chances o= grades and the construction of this improvement, and un-
til and unless the County of g ffi " "'' will agree to maintain said improve-
ment within the limits of the County of so,-,n _ after the improvement has
been completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of

County that for and in consideration of the Department of Highways of the

jofffa =fit County hereby agrees with the Department of Highways of the State
o Washington and the Bureau of Public noads of the Department of Commerce of the
United States of America that it will not, in the future, permit encroachments on
the right of way of the said above - mentioned road, nor will it pass any resolutions
affecting the free flow of traffic on said above - mentioned road or that will give
preference to local routes which intersect vrith said road, other than by the erec-
tion or installation of Hslow'] and /or »cautionll signs or signals, or that will slow
up, unreasonably hinder, or delay traffic on said above- mentioned road, and that it
will, by suitable resolution, adopt the grades of the improvement as the grades of
the county road that is involved, and hereby agrees to protect the State of Wash-
ington against any and all claims for damages on account of changes of grades and
the construction of this improvement, and hereby f}r ej r trees to maintain said
improvement within the limits of the County of "O after this improve-
ment has been completed.
