RESOLUTION 140. C - 4-0 1
WHEREAS., after due consideration, it appears to this
Board or County Commissioners. that to repair or reconstruct the
so-called "Huelsdonk Bridge" on the Upper Hoh river in section
26, township 27 north. range 11 west W.M. is not in the ptlbUO
interest, nor to continue to maintain couat)' road No. 216-9.98,
commonly known as "The OWl Creek road" from its juncti_ with the
Upper Hob road (<:Cft.lnty road No. 216) in Lot 1, seotion 26, township
27 north, range 11 west W.M., thence southerly f<<, 7.42 miles to its
.terminus in section 29, township 26 north ranie 11 west W.M., is
in the p1,J.blio interest. and in oontemplation' Of tbe lanpage ot
the statute RCW )6.67.610, said bridge and said road are useless,
now therefore f
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board or CCl1l1't)' Coamissioners
doe. now declare its intention to abandon said bridge and said
road as public improvement., and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED. and the CO\.lnty Road .Engineer is
hereby directed to examine said structure am. said road and report
his opinion as to whe'ther the said bridge and sa1d road should be
abandoned J whether the said bridge, or the said, road, or each. is
in use or bas been in use; the conClition of each thereot, ald
whether it will be advisable to preserve the sUd bridge' an d 'the
said road for the cwnty road system 1n the future; whether the
public will be benefited by theproposed abandonment. and all other
facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the
Board, all d that $Uch report be filed as soon a8 practicable.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED
ABANDONM:ffiT OF BRIDGE AND COUNTY
ROAD
The Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson county,
Washington, having heretofore adopted its Resolution No. C-407,
wherein said Board declared its inbenbmom to abandon the
so-called ttHuelsdonk Bridgett on the Upper Hoh road in section
26, town sh ip 27 north, range 11 west W.M., and also County Road
No. 216-9.98, commonly known as ttThe Owl Creek Roadtt from its
junction with Upper Hoh Road (County Road No. 216) in Lot 1,
section 26, township 27 north, range 11 west W.M., thence southerly
for 7.42 miles to its terminus in section 29, township 26 north,
range 11 West W.M., and directing the CountyRoad Engineer to file
a report, after an examination of said bridge and said road, as
to whether or not the same should be abandoned, and for other
facts as in said resolution ordered and directed, therefore it is
ORDERED that a public hearing upon said Engineer's Report
be had on Monday, the 21st day of September, 1959, at ,the hour
of ten o'clock A.M., on said day, at the Commissioners' Room
in the county courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, when and
where the Board of County Commissioners shall proceed to consider
the report of the County Road Engineer, together with any evidence
for or objection against such abandonment and vacation.
