RESOLUTION NO. C-38l

,::,WHEREAS, on September 5, 1958, upon the petition of sundry electors,
the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, held a
public hearing thereon, to-wit: on the question of the formation of
a fire protecti on district to be known as Jefferson County Fire
Protection District No.2, more particularly described as follows:
Begin: Section corner common to Sections 6 and 7L T. 28 N.,
R 1 W., and sections 1 'and 12, T. 28 N., 11 2 W., south
on section line for 5 sections, thence east on section
line for 3 sections thence 8'ou'th on section line
for approximately 21 sections to waters of Dabob Bay,
thence southwesterly by water boundary to Olympic
National Forest Boundary section line between sections
26 and 35, T. 26 N., R 2 W., thence west to section
corner common to sections 26, 27, 34, and 35, T. 26 N.,
R 2 W., thence north on section line for 4 sections,
thence west on section line for 1 section, thence north
on section line for 4 sections, thence east on section
line for 1 section, thence north on section line for 8
sections, thence east on section line for 2 sections
to point of be ginning,
comprising the voting precincts of Brinnon, Quilcene, Leland and a
portion of Tarboo, and proof having been made to the sa.tisfaction of
this Board that notice was given in the manner provided by law and
no objections having been made or filed, the Board, by ResolutIon No.
C-376 ordered a special election to be held on Tuesday the 4th day of
November, 1958, to determine whether the district shall be organized, and
WHEREAS, after an election called for the purpose in pursuance to
the terms of said Resolution, the Cou.nty Auditor for Jefferson County
under date of November 14th made and returned to this Board her canvass
of the vote cast at such ele ction, all of which bei ng now on file with
this Board is hereby referred to and by reference made a part of this
Resolution, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the area hereinbefore described be and the
same is hereby declared duly organized as a fire protection district;
that the same is officially designated as JEFFERSON COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION
DIS TRI CT NO.2, and that Kenneth M. ;Brones, Noah Johnston and Maurice A.
Thomas, having received the highest n~ber of votes cast for fire
commissioners of said district, be and they are hereby declared the duly
elected first commissioners of the district.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Cleric of this Board of County
Commissioners shall certify a copy of this resolution and file it for
record in the office of the County Auditor and County Assessor.
ADOPTED this 17th day of November, 1958.
