WHEREAS, Jefferson County is the record owner of Lots 1&. and 5

and all of Lot 6 lying westerly of railroad right of way in Block 4,
and Lots 1 and 2 in Block 9 of D. T. Denny's Second Addition to the
City of Port Townsend, as per plat recorded in VolUllle 2 of Plats, on
page 86, records of Jefferson County, EXCEPT right of wq for State
Road No.9.
ALSO, Lots 2 and 3 in Block. 5 of Phillips Ba)"rlew Addition to
Port Townsend, as per plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plats" on page 87,
records of Jefferson County, EXCEPT right of wq for State Road Ho. ~
and
WHEREAS, in the improvement of State Road NO.9, Jefferson County,
Chimacum Road to Port Townsend, by" the State of Washington, Depart-
ment of Highways, it is necessary and advisable for the State of Wash-
ington to acquire title to said lands for a right of way for said
highway; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration by the Board of County Camm-
issioners of Jefferson County, it appears to the said Board that it
will be for the best interests of both Jeffenon County ~d the State
of Washington that Jefferson County conver said lands to. the state of
Washington by quit claim deed for a consideration of $15.24
NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, tha~ Jefferson County,
in accordance with Chapter 238, Laws of 1947, and through its Board
of County Commissioners, execute said quit claim deed, and deliver said
deed to the State of Washibgton, Department of Highways.
