RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 0.?.Q/ 1YHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, acting as Agent of and for the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the United States of America, is desirous of constructing a Federal Aid Project_, No. _.,_ AA S. h97 (h) in Jeffersen County, over and across Government Lot 1 in Section 6 and Government Lost 3 and 4 in Section 5 all in TO'Wllship 27 No~~" Rn. a.ge 1 West. Dl wi of se. ction 32; and the SEt BWi" the SBi Wi and the Di Wi of Seetion 2'; all. in 'fownship 28 North, Range 1 We8t, W.M. and WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the State of Washington, acting as Agent for the United States Bureau of Public Roads, is desirous of receiving Fed- eral funds for the improvem~nt of said road, and WHEREAS, the said Bureau of Public Hoads of the Department of Corrunerce of the United States of America will not participate in the construction of said road until and unless the County of Jefferson will agree to refrain from permitting encroachment upon the right of way of said abovp.-mentloned road, and until and lID- less the County of Jefferson will agree to refrain from passing resolutions aff~3cting the free 1'lowot traffic on said above-mentioned road or that will give preference to local routes V\r}lich intersect with said road, other than by the erec- tion or install~ltion of "s10v'" and/or "cautionll signs or signals, or that will un- reasona1llY hinder or delay traffic on said above-mentioned road, and untilafid un- less the County of Jef~erson will agree, by suitable resolution, to adopt the grades of the improvemen as the grades of the county road that is involved, and agree to protect the S1;.ate of Washington against any and all claims for damages on account of any changes of grades and the construction of this improvement, and un- til and unless the County of' Jefferecm will agree to maintain said improvement within the limits of the County of Jefferson after the improvement has been (.:ompleted; Norr, THE3.EFORE, BE IT R.::;SOLVED by th(~ Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County that for and in consideration of the Department of Highways of the State of Vvashington and the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Com- merce of the United States of America constructing said road and routing traffic on same over and across -1- .- .- Government Lot 1 in Section 6 and Government lAts 3 and 4 in Section 5 all in Township 27 No~~( Range 1 West. V.M. .A.loa the S~ swt, the ~ SEi.. the !'IJ!it ~. the wt SEt, the SEt Wi. the SWi NEt and the NEt Wi of Section 32; and the SEt swt. the SEt Wi and the NEt wt of Section 29; all in Township 28 North, Range 1 West, W.M. Jefferson County hereby agrees with the Department of Highways of the State of Washington and the Bureau of Public Roads of the Department of Commerce of the United 3tates of America that it will not, in the future, permit encroachments on the right of way of the said above-mentioned road, nor will it pass any resolutions affecting the free flow of traffic on said above-mentioned road or that will give preference to local routes which intersect with said road, other than by the erec- tion or installation of "s1oi'l1! and/or "caution" signs or signals, or that will slow up, unreasonably hinder, or delay traffic on said above-mentioned road, and that it will, by suitable resolution, adopt the grades of the improvement as the grades of the county road that is involved, and hereby agrees to protect the State of '.'!ash- ington against any and all claims for dwnages on account of changes of grades and the construction of this improvement, and hereby further agrees to maintain said improvement within the limits of the County of Jefferson after this improve- ment has been completed.
