RESOLUTION NO. C-304
WHEREAS, Chapter 253, Laws of 1955 (Ryder Bill) was
declared unconstitutional by a recent Supreme Court decision,
and si nce the Washington State Tax Commission has ordered tha. t
the rolls of Jefferson County for 1956 should be corrected by the
County Treasurer, the reby dupli cati ng the wo rk 0 f the County
Assessor's office, and whereas the present staff of the County
Treasurer's office cannot perform this duty in addition to their
usual routine work,
and \~REAS, an additional $400.00 will be needed for
additional help for the above purpose, it is
THEREFORE RESOLVED that an emergency be declared to exist
in the County Treasurer's office and an additional sum of $400.00
be allowed in the Treasurer's budget under SALARIES & WAGES for
the year 1956.
