RESOLUTION No. c." -I 'fa
The Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson County having
been advised by the a>unty Treasl1rer of Jefferson County of the receipt
of the sun of $131,808.37 in cash from the state Treasurer, representing
a portion of the allotment due the County of Jefferson from the Federal
government from forest reserves, and that there is still due and payable
Jefferson county from the source as aforesaid the further sum of
$48,956.38, now therefore,
BE IT RES01.VED by the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson
County, under and pursuant to the provisions of Section 4057, Remington I s
Revised statutes, that said allotment and the whole thereof shall be
expended for the benefit of the purblic schools and public:::: roads of
Jefferson county, and not otherwise as follows:
(a)
The first $1,800.00 shall be expendEid for the use and benefit
of the County Superintendent of Schools for the purchase
of a new automobile so as to properly pennit him to carry out
the duties of his offi~, and,
the remainder be divided on a fifty-fifty basisas hereinbefo re
determined, such portion as hereby distributed to the pufb1ic
schools to be by the County Superintendent apportioned in
accor~'ance with the pDOvisions of Section 4938, flemingtonl6
Revised Statutes.
