RESOLUTION NO. C-95.
WHEREAS, the unprecedented winter weather of 1949 consisting of
snow and f~zing, in addition to the ordinary wear, put the roof of the
publi c building of Jefferson county commonly known as the "Veterans t Hall"
in such a condition that there existed grave danger that the entire build-
ing would be rendered uninhabitable, and that by reason whereof an emergency
existed requiring the immediate repair of the roof and skylight of said
building in ormer to restore this public property to a condition of use-
fulness and prevent further deterioration, and
~~REAS, it became necessary to employ the only competent roofer in
the county of Jefferson to perform by day labor, and furnish the necessary
materials, to restore said roof, and
~mEREAS, there is insufficient funds in the budget adopted for the
year 1949 in order to pay the costs of such repair and replacement, and
that it is necessary that the sum of $1,291.67, be appropriated forth'~th,
..new therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the B.oard of the COlmty Commissioner of Jefferson
County, State of Nashington that an emergency is hereby found and declared to
exist requiring the immediate appropriation, and expenditure of the sum
of $1,273.87 from the Current Expense Fund of sai~ County, to meet the
deficiency in bu~tary appropriation by reason of the foregoing, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there exists herein one of the cases as
contemplated under the exceptions as to notice, it is therefore ORDERED
that this reso~ution and appropriation hereunder shall become effective
upon adoPtion and without further notice or hearing, and the County Auditor
is herewith authorized to draw warrants for the above expenditure,
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the BVard of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County this
