W}~REAS, within the past week certain factors have developed
requiring the County of Jefferson, in order to avoid confusion
among its citizens and to conform with action taken by adjoining
counties, that effective June 1, 1948, the policy or practice
of "Daylight Saving Time" be adopted, and
WHEREAS, time does not permit proper legislative action by
the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson before
that date, but a majority of the members thereof are committed to
the spirit and intent of this resolution, therefore,
I, LYALL Ah'EY, CHAIHMAN 01<' 'tEE BOARD OF COUl~TY COMMISSIONERS
OF JEFFERSON C OON'l'Y do hereby res olve that commencing at the hour
of 12:01 A.M., Pacific Standard Time, June 1, 1948, that all clocks
within the county be advanced one hour, and such time remain in
force and effect until midnitht August 31, 1948, and I urge all
citizens to cooperate in this particular.
