Honorable Board:
Pursuant to Chapter 73, Session Laws ot 1943, the
e<oumty ~ngineer shall submit to the Board ot Count7 Com-
missioners standards for construction ot roads and bridges
within the County.
In lieu of the tact that our standards have in the
past been based on the "Standard Specifications tor Road
and Bridge Construction", adopted by the State ot Washing-
ton, Department ot HighW87s, January, 1941, it is reCOMmend-
ed that such standards be con",inued as such. It at any time
it shall be necessary to deviate from such standards, such
deviation can be made b7 special provisions incorporated in
the project in which the change or changes may be necessary.
