This matter having been duly considered by the undersigned
Board of Commi ssione rs of Jefferson County. Washingt on in re-
gular meeting c cnvened thi s 4th day of October. 1943. and
WHEREAS, it appears th8.t there is recorded in Volume 53
Of Deeds. pages 120 to l32"incluslve, a tax deed made by
J. H. Peterson, as Treasurer of Jefferoo n County, Washington,
to the County of Jefferson, including the following desoribed
prope rty :
All that portion of the Northwest t of the South-
'West t of the Northwest t of Section 33 in Town-
ship 3) North, Range 1 West of the Willamette ,
Meridian, lying east of State Road No.9; situate
in the County of Jefferson, State of Washington,

WHEREAS, Sloh deed was based on a publio sale of real
estate held on the 18th day of June, 1904, pursuant to a real
estate tax judgroont entered in the Superior Court of tb3 State
of Washington for Jefferson .county, on the 14th day of May,
1904 in proceedings to foreolose tax liens upon it and other
real estate, and
vVH:EREAS. it apIS ars that said judgment was rendered on
a double assessnent of taxes for, the year 1896 against all the
9lbjeot property, and
WHERE.AS, it appear s that the taxa s aotually due thereon
had been duly paid by the then reoord owner and the sale was
therefore void and invalid,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that said purported
sale or land to the Count y of Jefferson was of voiciil. and no

effect and that said county of Jefferson herewith expressly
~scla1ms any interest in or right to the above described
property, other than for any taxes that may be currently
due or to becone due.
