WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners on May 23, 2005 called for
sealed bids for the sale of the above referenced timber sale project; and;
WHEREAS, due notice of the Timber Sale was published as required, and;
WHEREAS, NINE bids were received and opened during public session on June 20, 2005
at 10:05 a.m., as shown in the attached bid tabulation, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the people of Jefferson County to select the most
responsive of the Nine acceptable bids,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the best and most responsive bid was submitted
by FOREST MARKETING ENfERPRISES, Inc., for a bid amount of $501,010.00 and that this bid
be accepted and;
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the specifications and contract documents in their entirety
as included in the bid package, are part of this bid acceptance.
