WHEREAS, Jefferson County Board of Commissioners on June 26, 2005 called for
bids for the above mentioned project, and;
WHEREAS, due notice of the call for bids was given as required by law, and;
WHEREAS, 2 bids were received and opened during public session on July 18,2005, as
shown in the attached bid tabulation, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the people of Jefferson County to select the most
responsive of the 2 acceptable bids, now therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the best and most responsive bid was submitted by
Leavitt Trucking, Inc. for a total bid amount of $173,983.50 and that this bid be
accepted and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the specifications and contract documents in their
entirety as included in the bid package, are part of this bid acceptance.
