WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has received a petition (Exhibit "An) to name
a private road, as shown on attached map (Exhibit "B"), either Bentley Place, District 41 Road or
Discovery Bay School Road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner qn this road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91, to allow for addressing
along the road; and
WHEREAS, notification was sent to interested parties; and
WHEREAS, Bentley Place most closely conforms to the standards of the Jefferson County
911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the road be named Bentley Place.

For inclusion in Board Meeting re: Road Naming
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to. endorse one of the three choices for naming the road that runs adjacent to
four parcels ofland I own, currently designated as 155 East Uncas Road North.
Dfthe three choices suggested by the Breithaupt's petition, it is my opinion that the third,
Discovery Bay ~chool Road, is the best. It is the most impartial choice, yet still implies a
link to the past, when one of the buildings along it was a schoolhouse.
Please incorporate this statement into the board meeting that is to determine the fate of
this road's name.
