Project at HJ Carroll County Park, Chimacum, WA. Statement of Issue: Change Order No. 3 to the contract with Interwest Construction Inc. (ICI), for the construction of the JUMP! Project at HJ Carroll County Park Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's £t Con's: This contract is for the construction of a new all-inclusive playground at HJ Carroll County Park. This change order provides for the loading and hauling of play equipment from the Road Maintenance Office to HJ Carroll County Park, labor to build a frame for a playground donation sign and labor to perform additional site grading. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the contract amount by $4,715.20, from $765,410.07 to $770,125.27. Construction is funded through a combination of a $500,000 RCO Grant, a Jefferson County Capital Improvement Fund contribution of $550,000, and other grants, pledges and cash donations. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute three Change Order No. 3 documents with ICI and return two (2) originals to Public Works for further processing.
