Farm at Water’s Edge is a certified organic farm providing our community with seasonal, fresh produce on a donation only basis. It also serves as an education tool for students and demonstrates how responsible, sustainable agriculture can coexist with salmon habitat. This is a great opportunity to support this community resource, as well as ask any of your garden questions to our knowledgeable staff and participating volunteers! Volunteers can expect to help us weed, harvest, remove invasive species, turn compost, and/or plant in the garden. Please remember to check the weather before you come. We recommend wearing closed toed shoes, sun protection and bringing a water bottle. Theler Center) Sweetwater Creek is great place with potential to be a thriving habitat – and it is also the future site of the Sweetwater Creek Water Wheel Park! The park will have a restored habitat for the local salmon run and pollinators, as well as safe and accessible public spaces for all - including walking trails, a playground and an ADA fishing dock. (Click here to learn more about the Sweetwater Creek Waterwheel Park Project <https://pnwsalmoncenter.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a7683d2876c28aaa03c107dd&id=f8773189f4&e=7b142fb1ac> ) However, this is a beautiful place needing love. We are seeking volunteers to help us clear the trash and debris from the project site! After the cleanup, volunteers can head over to Bent Bine brewery - they are offering all volunteers $1 off each pint of their great local brew!
