Dear Commissioners Dean, Eisenhour, and Brotherton,
I am writing to you on behalf of the Center for Sustainable Economy and the Emergency Conservation Committee. We would like to invite you to an educational event that we are providing
to the North Olympic community. Our topic is our Pacific Northwest Forests.
In detail, we will cover current timber practices, carbon sequestration, the importance of our forests here on the peninsula, and how we can replace funding for schools and public services.
We would appreciate it if you or your staff could attend and would welcome the opportunity to discuss these topics further. Our event is September 17 from 11:00 – 12:30, and is being
held at the Port Townsend Community Center. The address is 620 Tyler Street.
As this is a community event, it would also provide you with an opportunity to meet some of your constituents in a less formal manner. The Port Townsend Farmers Market will also be going
on right outside.
