Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. ________________________________ Hello Willie and Keppie, The LMC Emergency Preparedness Committee wants to thank you Director Bence and Keppie for furnishing us with the Think, Plan, Do’s and your guidance in our EPC packet distribution. The final results are almost in and the basic numbers are only going to be changed by a fraction. When the LMC Emergency Preparedness Committee committed to walking North Bay to every home and condo in LMC, the expectation that we set was to deliver at least 60% of the members. We would then send an announcement out to those members who we did not connect with that their EPC packet could be picked up at the Beach Club. We had a total of 30 volunteers delivering packets and the start date was August 11, 2022, and the finish was August 22, 2022. We gave the volunteers the names and addresses of the members they would be visiting and street maps, orange brightly colored vests and credential name tags. We had orientation meetings with the volunteers to help them feel comfortable with the packets they were handing out and to make they did not leave them if no one was at home. Notification of the impending visits was in our monthly newsletter and we sent out an EBlast at the start. The results are astonishing. The EPC Volunteers visited 854 homes and condominiums in North Bay and delivered 679 packets. That translates to a delivery rate of 79.5%. The volunteers were very well received and we have heard from many of our members how much they appreciated the information. One of the long-term members (18 years) said this was the first time he had ever seen anything published where to tune in an emergency specifically for Port Ludlow. Another member said that she was way behind the curve and only had enough food and water for 3 days and that she was going to stock up.
