My name is Carlos Lugo and I’m the Deputy Director of External Affairs for the WA Department of Natural Resources (DNR). I’m writing to share the attached letter from Public Lands Commissioner
Hilary Franz regarding the Community Wildfire Defense Grants (CWDG), a new grant program funded by the Infrastructure Bill and administered in our state by DNR. The program will provide
$160 million per year for the next 5 years nation-wide and is intended to reduce risks to communities from wildfire.
