________________________________ From: JeffCo Historical Society Sent: Thursday, September 1, 2022 8:59:40 AM (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) To: Kate Dean Subject: We Reached Our Goal! 🎉 ________________________________ ALERT: BE CAUTIOUS This email originated outside the organization. Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. ________________________________ You helped us raise over $10,000 for JCHS collections <https://jchsmuseum.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=11155357fd6e7ba31f3d5bf11&id=fa8f2cc89b&e=73f4f21267> September News from JCHS SEPTEMBER 1, 2022 We Reached Our Goal! <https://jchsmuseum.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=11155357fd6e7ba31f3d5bf11&id=f71b3851fe&e=73f4f21267> Thanks to everyone who helped make our summer fundraiser for JCHS collections a huge success! Between early gifts, funds raised at our inaugural Rockin’ Rendezvous, and gifts received since, we've surpassed our $5,000 goal! With $5,000 being generously matched by the Cooper-Newell Foundation, that brings our total to over $10,000 raised to help us expand both the contents of, and access to our oral history collection. 🎉 We’re grateful to everyone who contributed to this fundraiser and joined us for our celebration of local storytelling at the Hilltop Tavern in August. We’re still reeling from the enthusiasm this first-year event generated and cannot overstate how special the multigenerational representation in the storytelling was to us. Bringing people together to be inspired by our community’s people, places, and stories is what we’re all about. Thank you for showing your support and celebrating with us. While the rendezvous has past, we will continue accepting gifts to JCHS collections through our Rockin’ Rendezvous page <https://jchsmuseum.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=11155357fd6e7ba31f3d5bf1 1&id=dc295ae20d&e=73f4f21267> . We’re already looking forward to bringing this event back next summer. Do you have suggestions for future rendezvous venues, themes, and storytellers around Jefferson County? Let us know <mailto:giving@jchsmuseum.com?subject=Future%20Rockin'%20Rendezvous%20suggestions> ! This window into the beautiful and horrifying era of humans on our planet is a must-see. This final month of Anthropocene is also a great time to pick up an exhibition catalogue from our Museum Shop. Catalogues are a great companion to the physical show and an elegant memento when it's over. <https://jchsmuseum.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=11155357fd6e7ba31f3d5bf11&id=7d53f8a439&e=73f4f21267> New at the Museum World War I: Lessons & Legacies Now on view in our Marshall's Office downstairs at the Jefferson Museum is an exhibition of objects, letters, stories, and posters about World War I and one of its most significant legacies in our region: The 1918 influenza pandemic.
