There needs to be a discussion between public works and oly cap about this area here, so they can all get on the same page. 09:12:49 We just didn't have time, for that and only cop Cap was accommodating enough to adopt this diagram with the understanding that we'll talk about it, and if you know we need to tweak it a little bit we can do 09:13:01 that And then this is what they're planning so this is the east side of the property. 09:13:12 This is the West Side and planning, on taking out that really sharp cur curve there, and make it more kind of a more meandering sort of S. and that's for safety purposes. 09:13:27 What Eric cosmetics told me was that someone had a really bad crash over here and almost died. 09:13:35 And so they, wanna you know, when they bought the property, or when they got the easement. 09:13:41 This is before we bought the property they kind. of. had to engineer it to fit what the easement said, and you can see here, that's a very severe kind of curve. 09:13:51 And so this is really both of these all, really all 3 of these changes are for safety purposes. 09:13:58 So once again when we're talking about the parking lot that's it right here. 09:14:03 And then the other parts are chained or proposed changes to the trail, and that is where we are today. 09:14:15 Oh, we, Cap has agreed to this and sharon sheriff's Cron Miller has signed the document, hoping that we're good. 09:14:21 Well, i'm grateful for public works taking the time to make work with us to make these changes, and for those of us who written the trail a lot, I think muscle memory of those sharp turns says that this is 09:14:32 the right right thing to do making the trail safer for everybody, but including us who ride, I mean. 09:14:40 I know Kate and I ride the trail a lot. 09:14:43 So. anyway, grateful for the work on this yeah spell works was spectacular on this and and The guy that did all the drawings was was John Fleming and they crank this in blah blah 09:15:01 blah less than a day. so kudos to them, and also kudos to Olycap, for you know, being responsive to to to these changes, of course helpful that you know they want this approved by the end of 09:15:18 the month, but they were still very helpful, walking through this. 09:15:23 So it was a good negotiation with Olycap. 09:15:26 They were a good partner on negotiating the lease. 09:15:29 And I i'm confident they'll be a good partner going forward and making any changes that are necessary for the least. 09:15:37 So is there. I appreciate it. correction that is a or a clarification. 09:18:06 I think that's that's helpful and this is largely, largely unrelated to this lease which i'm i'm very satisfied with, and happy to move forward with today. 09:18:19 But I I Still, I still worry a little bit about these. 09:18:21 I think the sharp curves on Larry sketch will actually provide some traffic calming and just wanna you know I have to think about how to encourage folks to not go too fast. 09:18:32 You know, especially as bikes get faster with the bikes. 09:18:34 These these gentle curves are, are still create a hazard that worries me. 09:18:41 So just put it a plug for folks to to ride very carefully and mindfully, especially with shared with pedestrians. 09:18:48 So, but happy to talk more with public works, to understand how that 09:18:54 You know traffic calming is such an important way to to preserve safety for pedestrians especially, and this feels a little bit like doing the opposite so. 09:19:03 But that is outside the scope of what we're talking about here today, largely very glad to see the changes and happy to move forward. 09:19:13 Great.
