Re: Road Vacation, portion of W. Eugene Street, Port Hadlock
Date: May 21, 2004
Attached please find information regarding a petition to vacate a county road right of way
which I would like to have presented at your meeting scheduled for June 2, 2004.
The petitioner wishes to vacate the North one-half of that portion of West Eugene Street,
Port Hadlock which lies South of and adjacent to his property. He states that he would
like to maintain the right of way, to keep it clear of trees and underbrush which, in the
past, have caused damage to his buildings. Petitioner's claim seems valid and to date, we
have had no negative comments regarding this vacation. All evidence at this time would
indicate this petition will be approved.
If you have comments, concerns or need further information regarding this matter prior to
the scheduled meeting, please feel free to contact me at 385-9218.

COUNTY ROAD
VACATION PETITION
JOHN SAKRISON, PETITIONER
REQUEST
The request is to vacate that portion of West Eugene Street, being approximately 25' x
75', lying westerly of 10th Avenue, between blocks 90 and 91 in the plat of Irondale No. 7
as recorded in volume 2 of plats at page 144, records of Jefferson County, Washington.
Situated in Section 34, Township 30 North, Range 1 West, WM.
The principal petitioner states the following reason for requesting the road vacation:
"I have had the trees from your (county) right of way blow down on my shop this
last October causing roof damage... I thought if the property was vacated, I could deal
with the hazards myself. I could also maintain the property free of weeds and
blackberries."
