Help ensure effective high-speed internet funding for counties
Join NACo on September 23 at 2 p.m. EDT to learn about the FCC broadband mapping process
On September 15, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced the data specifications required for state, local and Tribal governments to file “bulk challenges” to broadband
availability data the FCC is collecting under the Broadband Data Collection (BDC) process. This data will be reflected in their updated national broadband availability maps, set to
be released this November.
Counties will be able to challenge the data contained in the FCC’s maps, as well as contribute crowdsourced data, to the BDC system following the November release of the national maps.
