Double your donation while we double our farmland conservation pace View this email in your browser <https://mailchi.mp/northolympiclandtrust/year-end-letter-5245000?e=e371357277> <https://mcusercontent.com/2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4/images/c9c68ae9-2fd6-69e1-c603-7497398a6338.jpg> Dear Heidi, Inspired by the fields at Mid Valley Farm, the chickens at Dungeness Hub, and our commitment to doubling the pace of farmland conservation, a very generous supporter has offered to match up to $5,000 in donations to North Olympic Land Trust between now and October 1st. With only $10,000 of our $60,000 community fundraising goal left to meet, the timing of this offer couldn't be better. We are honored by this donor's generosity, and are thrilled to offer a way for you to double your donation, today! Double Your Donation Today! <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=8938909f5f&e=e371357277> Speaking of "doubling," we are doubling our farmland conservation pace over the next 10 years, and this year we're kicking off this increased pace by buying conservation easements on Mid Valley Farm and Dungeness Hub ("Nash's Organic Produce Packing Shed"), protecting them as farmland forever. Your support enables us to conserve these important farmlands and others like them—we couldn't do it without you. Mid Valley Farm and Dungeness Hub have been farmed for decades, and their locations and unique facilities mean they are used by surrounding farmers, supporting a broader farming industry. Together these farms make up Center Stage Farmland <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=d829a6a373&e=e371357277> , and stand to protect 55 acres of USDA prime farmland, almost 10 acres of natural habitat, and provide surrounding farmers with infrastructure to process and refrigerate their yields. We are excited to permanently protect Mid Valley Farm and Dungeness Hub through conservation easements to ensure they remain viable, protected farmland. Your donations support this and other critical conservation work. Thank you! Thank you for supporting conservation, Tom Sanford Executive Director Support Conservation <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=51f0806f01&e=e371357277> Conserving Mid Valley Farm and Dungeness Hub requires approximately $1.25 million. State and county funding is projected to meet $1.19 million of the financial need; however, community support is essential to meeting the remaining costs of forever conserving Mid Valley Farm and Dungeness Hub. Thank you for your support! <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=039d855e84&e=e371357277> Volunteer, farmland supporter, and legacy donor Kelly explains why she supports conservation through the Land Trust during our Farmer of the Year celebration. <https://mcusercontent.com/2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4/images/922f83e8-0574-caaf-d87e-57c0d86850c8.jpg> <https://mcusercontent.com/2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4/images/60ae4eeb-c00d-e787-e6a5-d4556933ccd9.jpg> Photos: Header by Liz Cusanelli of Chickens at Dungeness Hub; Bottom (L) by John Gussman of Dungeness Hub; Bottom (R) by John Gussman of Mid Valley Farm <mailto:info@northolympiclandtrust.org> Email <mailto:info@northolympiclandtrust.org> <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=5a4470c9f0&e=e371357277> Website <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=2a657d0366&e=e371357277> <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=708956189c&e=e371357277> Facebook <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=e5a3136371&e=e371357277> <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=62f4a06664&e=e371357277> Instagram <https://northolympiclandtrust.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2a560412753cc77f18a4d65b4&id=2e713a5073&e=e371357277> Copyright © 2020 North Olympic Land Trust, All rights reserved.
