Dear Mr. Gary McLean, Examiner,
My name is Terri Ross and I live at 2971 Oak Bay Rd. I am very concerned that the County has decided to allow a
commercial business to be built on Oak Bay Rd which is all rural residential. This is NOT a small‐retreat, it is the same size
as the Inn at Port Ludlow Resort. Which is in the MPR down there. This business plan is not a viable long term venture,
(Ann tried to do this on Whidbey Island also) what happens when it fails? It will scar our neighborhood forever. There
are a number of projects in Port Townsend that were approved by the planners, then they have gone bankrupt or the
owner has run out of money and now they are crumbling where they started.
We have lived here for 26 years and all of my neighbors are longer than that. They are not proficient on the computer
and have not had a change to give their comments. As much as this is going to impact our daily lives, property values
and peace and quiet we would have liked to have more of a chance to give you our concerns personally. We were told
you were very backed‐up in your job so we understand, but this effects our daily lives and will change our environment
forever. So it means a lot to us. It doesn’t seem fair that all of the comments are 1/2 hour or more and the County is
even longer. And we got 3 minutes. We hope you will consider our comments when making your decision. Thank you for
your consideration.
