Please join us for the annual Clallam County Budget and Road Show and meet your commissioners Bill Peach (District 3), Randy Johnson (District 2), and Mark Ozias (District 1), and Mark Lane Clallam County CFO. Hear updates about the County’s financials and what’s on the horizon for 2023 and beyond. The lunch special is grilled cheese or grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup, or you can order off the menu. Our meetings take place at Blakeslee's Bar & Grill, 1222 S. Forks Avenue, 11:30 am – 1 pm and are open to the public. All are welcome to attend. We will not have a Zoom or call-in option due to limited internet at the venue. The Forks Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a community shred event on Saturday, October 1st from 10 am – 1 pm at the Forks Forum Parking Lot, 490 S. Forks Avenue. Go through that pile of paperwork in your closet, garage, storeroom, desk, etc. and sort it out and bring us what needs to be shredded. All donations received will benefit our ongoing scholarship program. WEST END BUSINESS & PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION (WEBPA) WEBPA meetings take place at the Congregational Church, 7:30am. Dues are only $10 for an individual, and $25 for a business. WEBPA is a wonderful non-profit organization that provides business networking, and through fundraising, keep our lovely town decorated for Christmas! Do you know someone who wants to be a part of a fun, vibrant and always interesting atmosphere? We need a permanent staff member for the Visitor Information Center and Forever Twilight in Forks Collection. We are looking for people who are very friendly and love working with the public. Twilight fan? Great, but not necessary. Applicants need to be area-knowledgeable and available to work 3-5 days a week (includes Saturday or Sunday) 20-35 hours per week depending on the time of year. Duties include helping visitors with area information, performing office duties, stocking shelves, using cash register, lifting up to 25# and other tasks as assigned. Previous office and/or hospitality experience is preferred. Please fill out an application at 1411 S. Forks Avenue. FOREVER TWILIGHT IN FORKS Tickets to Forever Twilight in Forks Festival go on sale January 1st at 10am. Please mark your calendar for next year’s event – September 14 - 17, 2023! Forever Twilight in Forks Collection is now open for WINTER HOURS Friday and Saturday Noon – 4 pm. You must be in line by 3:30 pm to be guaranteed entry. FTF Equinox will be held March 17-19, 2023 and will be a low-key Twilight hangout with friends. WE WANT TO DO YOUR RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY Would you like to celebrate your new business, grand opening, re-opening, addition, or a special unveiling with a ribbon cutting ceremony? We would love to provide that service to you! Simply contact me and we will put it on the calendar. Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies make great acknowledgements for business milestones!
