Excuses, excuses …? Is this “management”? Why not make recruit some local businesses so that consumers could take their small amounts of hazardous waste there, combined with the business’ own hazardous waste? The state-sponsored paint recycling program <https://www.paintcare.org/drop-off-sites/> , in which Peninsula Paint participates, seems like a good model. Speaking of management, there is still no one monitoring the recycling facility at the county transfer station to ensure that the right kind of recyclables are being placed in the right bins. The Solid Waste Manager needs to hold the contractor there to the agreement which requires such monitoring. We’re not getting our money’s worth. Tom Thiersch Jefferson County, WA
