Hello commissioners, I read in the Leader that you are in the process of resolving old plat problems and read the opinion piece by the executive director of the Jefferson County Home
Builder's Association. I am concerned and agree with Kate Dean "we have to get this right".
I have been reading No Farms, No Food, a history of the American Farmland Trust and recommend all of you read it. It is an excellent resource for addressing the need to preserve farmland
without throwing farmers under the bus, it provides historical evidence of approaches that work, collaborations between people and organizations that often have competing goals. I'm
just dashing off this note because I am very busy but feel the issues at stake are so important I want to put in my two cents.
