Our planning team is currently developing a trail-wide comprehensive plan for the Pacific Northwest Trail that will guide administration and management of the trail. The National Environmental
Policy Act requires we assess the environmental impacts of administering and managing the trail on federal lands. I plan to analyze the proposed action in an environmental assessment
(EA).
Your input and ideas on this proposal will be helpful to our project interdisciplinary team. We want to hear your substantive comments on this proposed action along with supporting rationale
that we should consider in developing the comprehensive plan and its accompanying environmental analysis. In order to be eligible to object, and for them to be most helpful in our preparation
of the draft environmental analysis and decision, we need to receive comments by October 30, 2022.
