We own 3 lots in the Ocean Grove Division #2 & have looked at the story map the county has online. I still don’t understand what impact the proposed change in regs will have on my ability
to develop these lots. There was info in the Leader this week that the change would merge contiguous lots into single lots. IF the county strips my right to develop these lots and
changes my 3 lots to one, does that mean I will only have to pay 1/3 of the taxes I presently pay? If these lots are already within a development(Ocean Grove), will this reg change
really have any impact on my ability to develop these properties?
Note: the information that the County has provided to date has not been very transparent or useful. I would suggest that the county commissioners extend the moratorium and have the
planning department take another stab at educating landowners on the impact of the proposed changes. I left a voice mail with the planning department in an attempt to get answers.
