HomeMy WebLinkAboutCamp Beausite NW Parcel Proposal Outline for 100622 JCPRABCamp Beausite Northwest Basic Outline - 6 Acre request Purpose to expand a building space with the least amount of impact on the environment while allowing CBNW to grow to support our campers, families, and community. Phase 1 – Completed by 2026* • Infrastructure systems • Pastures • Staff Housing Phase 2 – Completed by 2028* • Barn & Arena • Administrative Offices Phase 3 – Completed by 2029* • Maintenance shop • Equipment storage *depending on approvals, funds development, permitting, and construction timelines Infrastructure Systems 1) Minimal land clearing for structures and site prep 2) Septic system – 1 or 2 systems depending on size, location, and requirements 3) Water – Well system drilled and plumbed for all buildings 4) Electricity – Attach into current system 5) Parking lot and accessibility pathways Desired Buildings/Construction 1) Staff Housing – Duplex or Triplex 2200 square feet a. Creating housing for our staff in order to bring housing and jobs to our organization and our community b. Building a triplex would allow for the hiring of 3-6 full time staff and their families c. The desired location is over the old homestead, giving the onsite staff a constant view of our camp property and our camp road, increasing the overall security of the property, facility, and programs 2) Barn & Arena – 3200 sq ft to 8600 sq ft a. 3200 sq ft gives us a barn with the amenities needed to support a small adaptive riding program that will benefit our entire community, partnership with Salish Spirit Adaptive Riding. b. 8600 sq ft would build us a barn and a covered arena with classroom and adaptive support for year-round programs for campers, veterans, first responders, foster children, and our community. 3) Administrative Offices – 1800 sq ft a. The current offices are located in the main lodge where our guests, renters, and campers hold the majority of their programs. We are in the way completely. b. We only have three offices, we have already outgrown this space. We need more space for staff c. We need a space that has a meeting location that isn’t available during camp programs/rentals so that we can continue to meet with the board, donors, grant foundations etc. 4) Maintenance Shop – 1200 sq ft a. We do not currently have a designated space that fulfills this need. Our facilities manager is working out of a small portable shed. Funding We are building relationships and are having great conversations with foundations who are excited to help us move forward with these projects, some have already asked us to apply for funding for these projects. 1) Murdock Foundation – Up to 50% of the cost of the project 2) Anonymous Foundation – Up to 50% of the cost of the project 3) First Federal Community Grant - $100,000 grant 4) Milgard Foundation - $100,000 grant 5) Enterline Foundation - $200,000 grant 6) Ben Cheney Foundation - $100,000 grant 7) Norcliffe Foundation - $200,000 grant Total Estimated Project: $1.8 – $2 million
