RE: Workshop with Jefferson County Public Utility District (PUD) No. 1: PUD's
Broadband Project
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The PUD has underway a very ambitious broadband program that the Board of County
Commissioners (BOCC)very much supports. The Board demonstrated this support by allocating
$900,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding to this worthy project. The BOCC wishes to
learn more about this project.
ANALYSIS:
The BOCC has invited the PUD to attend a workshop on the broadband project so they can learn
more about the project and provide the viewing public an opportunity to learn about the project
as well. The PUD accepted the invitation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This request has no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board of County Commissioners listen to the PUD's presentation, ask questions and
allow the public to comment.
