Through the dedicated work of our stellar volunteer engineers, the complex business of routing what goes on in a radio show to you, through radio signals or over the internet, is complete! And what is very exiting to me, and humbling, is that my show Rhythm Connection was chosen to be the first broadcast from our new studios, Tuesday from 1-3 PM. Humbling because I know the enormous efforts that many people have made to make this milestone, and that we could not have done it without your support. Normally my show explores music from the African diaspora, but tomorrow is special. Though I will sprinkle music, I also will have guests to help us marvel at the new possibilities for KPTZ going forward. KPTZ founder Colin Foden went on the air the first day that KPTZ broadcast in 2011, and he will be here to help inaugurate our new era. When I mentioned above that we could not have reached this historic milestone without you, I was serious. It’s fitting that the first broadcast from our new studios happens during our Welcome Home Fund Drive, and I ask you to celebrate with us by contributing your gift to help us start out strongly in our new home.
