Inspired by the gift of an apron sewn by her grandmother, these drawings juxtapose themes of domesticity, Jewish life, reminders of the Holocaust, and family. Feferman began the series with the intention of making 100. Forty-two of the drawings she completed before she passed away at age 55 have been presented previously in a book published in 2009 and in a retrospective exhibition <https://jchsmuseum.us18.list-manage.com/track/click?u=11155357fd6e7ba31f3d5bf11&id=1ede9a3491&e=70d6482893> at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art in 2014. This is the first time since 1998 that the drawings have been on view in Port Townsend, where Feferman kept her home and studio. Visit us at the museum to see all our current exhibitions and join us later this month on Friday, October 28 for a panel discussion of Juxtapositions <https://jchsmuseum.us18.list-manage.com/track/cl ick?u=11155357fd6e7ba31f3d5bf11&id=994f1eae6a&e=70d6482893> featuring Julie Feferman-Perez, Stephen Yates, and Greg Robinson!
