County Commissioners, Dr Allison Berry, and Willie Bence,
Please see the KPTZ listener questions for Monday, October 10, 2022 BOCC Update listed below.
Thank you,

Questions for Dr Allison Berry:
1. I'm a 70 year old with no immune deficiency, who has had a Pfizer vaccine twice, and 2 boosters, and plan to have the Omicron- specific booster tomorrow. My question: Is it finally
safe for me to go unmasked into churches, movie theatres and restaurants?
2. Two requests for the show this week.
On October 3, the CDC was compelled through court order <https://www.icandecide.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/019-Agreed-Scheduling-Order.pdf> to produce its de-identified V-safe data.
The data, available here <https://www.icandecide.org/v-safe-data/> , represents all ten million individuals who used the V-safe app in the context of COVID-19. Of those 10,108,273 people,
782,913 (more than 7%) reported that they “required medical care.”
Among the 13,963 total individual users that were younger than three-years-old, 1,009 (again, more than 7%) reported that they “required medical care.”
So, the first request is that you please speak about this V-safe data, and that you answer this specific question: Is this acceptable from a public health standpoint? Is it acceptable
that people in general, and young children especially--children who have little to no risk from a COVID infection--are being urged to take an injection with a greater-than 7% risk of
requiring medical care?
Second, please tell us about Pfizer trial participant Maddie de Garay and her "abdominal pain.”
3. As occurred with influenza, covid19’s new variants have been less severe. With high case numbers and zero hospitalizations, this is a good sign.
However, I notice all year long we are perpetually told this high risk and are urged to continue masking in public despite these changes.
When do you think this guidance will change?
Do you anticipate adjusting how we determine high and low risk times?
4. I just happened to sit through a public transit board meeting where the debate on vaccine mandates past Governor Inslee's emergency powers occurred. After the recent statements
of our political leaders, am I still right to insist on vaccine mandates as a condition of public employment to prevent hospitalization and death?
5. My first two Covid-19 vaccinations were Pfizer. Also, the Omicron booster I just had was Pfizer. I did not have a reaction to any of these three shots. But I did have a definite
reaction to my first booster, which was Moderna.
Does this indicate that Pfizer vaccine is not effective for me? Should I opt for Moderna if future boosters are needed?
I am 79 years old.
Many thanks for your guidance through this pandemic.
